This ongoing series examines cosplay as a performative space in which women negotiate and articulate gender identity on their own terms, moving between cultural expectation and self-definition through their identification with fictional characters. In choosing which characters to embody they use fiction as a space to rehearse, resist, or reimagine who they might be.
